Closing the file.
You can delete your WeddingCraftr account yourself, from inside the app, without writing to anyone first. This page is the steps, what goes with it, and what we are obliged to keep.
From the web app
This is the one that removes the account itself, and it takes about a minute.
- Sign in at app.weddingcraftr.com.
- Open Your settings from the profile menu.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account.
- Type DELETE where it asks you to confirm, then press Delete my account. There is no undo, and no grace period in which we hold it for you.
From the phone
The iPhone and Android apps carry the same control under Profile → Password & account → Danger zone → Delete account. It erases your trips and weddings, their attachments and your collaborations, and signs you out. To remove the account record as well, finish in the web app or write to us and we will do it for you.
If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, deleting the account does not cancel the subscription: the stores hold that, and only you can stop it, from their own subscription settings. Cancel there first, or you will keep being billed for a product you can no longer open. A subscription bought on our website is cancelled from the billing page before you delete.
What is erased
Deleting the account deletes the things that hung off it, not just the login:
- Your trips and weddings, and everything attached to them: itineraries, run sheets, guest lists, vendors, budgets, documents, photographs, expenses, decisions and chat.
- Your profile: name, email address, preferences and any messaging account you linked.
- Collaborations you are part of. A trip or wedding someone else owns stays with them; your messages and your share of the ledger go.
What we keep, and for how long
Records we are required to hold, and records that no longer point at you:
- Records we must keep for legal, accounting or security reasons, chiefly invoices and payment records. Everything else is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period.
- Product-usage event logs, which keep a bare identifier that can no longer be resolved to you.
- Affiliate click records, de-linked from your account.

If you would rather we did it
Write to privacy@weddingcraftr.com from the address on the account, say that you want it deleted, and we will confirm when it is done. We answer within the time the law allows, and in practice much sooner. You can also ask us to delete part of your data and keep the account, or to send you a copy of everything we hold first.
